Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba is not giving much away about her baby shower this weekend, it has been claimed.

According to E! Online, the Sin City actress is holding the celebration in Los Angeles and around 50 people are expected to attend.

However, her representative commented: "Mum's the word on shower plans."

Alba, 26, who will appear in The Love Guru with Mike Myers later this year, revealed in December that she and boyfriend Cash Warren were engaged.

The couple are delaying any wedding ideas until after the baby is born, a source told US Weekly: "She doesn't want to be pregnant in a dress!"

Over in the UK, the American trend of holding a baby shower for mums-to-be has really taken off.

A Transatlantic Trend Spotting report by cahoot revealed that 3.9 million Brits have held or attended a baby shower in the last five years, with £102 million being spent on celebratory gifts.
