Charlie Sheen's wedding ideas are relaxed and casual, it has been reported.

The star of US comedy series Two and a Half Men is planning to marry his real estate investor girlfriend Brooke Mueller later on this year.

"There will be no ties at my wedding," he said. "It's going to be hot. I want people to be comfortable."

Ms Mueller told People magazine last year that she "definitely" has plans for a big wedding.

Sheen, who is well remembered for his role in Top Gun spoof film Hot Shots!, proposed with an 11-carat $500,000 (£252,134) engagement ring while the couple were on holiday in Costa Rica.

The 42-year-old actor has two daughters with previous wife actress Denise Richards and a 23-year-old daughter from an earlier relationship.

Also planning to appear rather casual in their wedding albums is Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge, reports the Daily Star.

A source close to Britney's sister claimed she wants to hold a barn dance for the wedding reception.
