Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are planning a really special children's birthday party for their baby Suri, it has been revealed.

US magazine OK! stated that the guests at little Suri's second birthday will be strictly A-listers and close family members.

Suri will be joined by siblings 15-year-old Isabella and 13-year-old Connor, Cruise's two adopted children from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman, the publication stated, in addition to her grandparents.

A source close to the couple said: "Katie is so excited, she's taking care of every last detail.

"You can count on special things like individual place settings and festive bunting. And when Katie plans a party, she plans a party!"

However, the insider warned that under no circumstances will flowers be on the list of party ideas, as the high profile one-year-old is allergic to them.

Cruise has previously revealed that Suri's name derives from the Hebrew word for Princess or the Persian word for Rose, reported by the Associated Press.
