Little Suri Cruise may only be turning two, but her children's birthday party is set to outdo those of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's bashes put together.

According to reports, Suri's A-list parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, referred to in Hollywood as TomKat, are planning to spend around $500,000 (£248,512) on the kid's birthday.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Tom is out to make Suri's second birthday a spectacle like no other child has ever had.

"He's planning on bringing in an acrobatic troupe from Cirque de Soleil in Las Vegas for $100,000."

Other party ideas for the April 18th event include international cuisine and a $60,000 cake, although what lavish birthday gifts the little girl can expect have not been revealed.

However, the source also revealed to the publication that Holmes is not entirely sure whether all the extravagance is necessary for a children's birthday party.

The mole claimed the ex-Dawson's Creek actress has expressed concern that spending so much on the celebrations will spoil Suri.

In stark comparison to the glamorous soon-to-be two-year-old, the average parents in Britain spend around £82 on their children's birthday parties, reports the Guardian.
