Brad and Angelina's son Maddox Jolie-Pitt enjoyed a children's birthday party just for two this week, reports People.

The seven-year-old spent the day with his daddy at a go-kart track in the south of France - obviously one of his birthday gifts from the celebrity couple.

"It was just Maddox and Brad," a source said. "Just father-son time."

Go-karting was clearly just the right present for the car-crazy kid's birthday, as People claim that Maddox and Brad have demonstrated their passion for motors before.

The pair have raced bikes, competed with radio-command cars and visited Formula One events, the magazine stated.

People added that Maddox crossed the finish line first this time, although perhaps his daddy let him win this time.

New mum Angelina was nowhere to be seen at the track, but after giving birth to twins Vivienne and Knox last month may have been having a well-deserved rest.

The famous family have been in France ever since the birth, residing at their home, Chateau Miraval.
