Daughter of rockers Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean, recently celebrated her 16th birthday with a £150,000 party, reports claim.

According to the latest celebrity news, 44-year-old Hole singer Courtney Love threw a lavish birthday party at a Los Angeles restaurant to mark her only child's sweet 16.

The birthday party was reportedly themed 'RIP childhood' and guests, including Courtney and the birthday girl herself, came dressed for the occasion in gothic-style attire.

Frances Bean wore an outfit previously worn by her late father Kurt for a performance at the Reading Festival.

Courtney gave birth to her only child with Kurt just six months after the couple married in 1992.

Troubled musician Kurt died two years later, leaving Courtney to raise their daughter as a single mum.

The couple gave Frances her unusual middle name because Cobain thought she looked like a kidney bean in the first scan.
