Guy Ritchie is busy planning party ideas and birthday gifts for wife Madonna's 50th later this year, it has been claimed.

Despite rumours that the pair are to divorce, an insider has said that actually, they are still together and will be celebrating Madonna's birthday as a couple.

Guy's party ideas are to include a bash with about 200 friends and family at their Wiltshire country home in August, the source revealed to the Daily Mail.

"It will be quite spectacular," the friend said. "He's going to push the boat out. He's given it a lot of thought.

"I don't think you could organise a 50th birthday party for your wife while at the same time consulting lawyers to end your marriage."

Guy's mother recently dismissed claims the couple were divorcing as "absolute rubbish".

Madonna has previously said that turning 50 is a "landmark", but that she sees it as a good excuse to have a big party.
