Jessica Simpson needs to get planning for a baby shower as her sister Ashlee has confirmed she is pregnant.

Singer Ashlee recently wed Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy fame and the couple have now announced they are expecting their first child, reports People magazine.

They wrote on Wentz's blog that although there has been much media speculation over whether Ashlee is pregnant, they wanted to wait until after the first trimester to confirm the reports.

"This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family," they stated.

People magazine recently featured the wedding photography of the couple's big day earlier this month, complete with 10,000 black magic roses and crystal chandeliers.

The pair opted for slightly less-traditional wedding ideas, choosing a dog as a ring-bearer and an Alice in Wonderland-inspired cake adorned with a top hat, stopwatch, teapot and flowers.
