Celebrities do not need to sell their wedding photo albums to glossy magazines, says Liam Gallagher.

The Oasis singer told the Times magazine that he is appalled with stars who feel the need to spend millions on their wedding ideas and then flaunt themselves in the news.

Referring to Wayne Rooney, Liam remarked: "You've got this kid who's 19 or whatever he is, who 20 minutes ago was playing for Everton, having a £5 million wedding!

"I'd have to be well and truly desperate [to sell wedding photography]."

Wayne and Coleen Rooney tied the knot on the Italian Riviera earlier this year.

The 35-year-old Mancunian explained to the magazine that his marriage to Nicole Appleton cost just £18.

"Reception over the road, it was nice, but I've got a lid on it," he said about his Marylebone register office ceremony.

Liam has a seven-year-old son with Nicole, as well as two children from previous relationships.
