Lily Allen obviously was not a fan of one of her birthday gifts this year, it has been revealed.

The Smile singer turned 23 yesterday (May 1st) and celebrated at the Groucho club in London.

However, after being given a cake by one of the photographers Allen decided to throw it right back at a crowd of paparazzi.

Rumoured lover James Corden, co-writer and star of comedy series Gavin and Stacey, sang Happy Birthday as she hurled the yellow gateau.

Party ideas carried on until the early hours it seems, as Allen was seen buying drinks from an all-night store after leaving the club.

Allen and Cordon have been the subject of various media rumours recently, as the pair have been seen together on a number of occasions after meeting on her BBC3 chat show.

Cordon recently won Best Comedy Performance for his role as Smithy in BBC3's Gavin and Stacey.
