Magazines banned from royal christenings and weddings
27 May
Any christenings or wedding photo albums featuring the Queen will be banned from future deals with magazines, it has been revealed.
Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips is said to have made around £500,000 for selling the rights to his wedding to Hello! magazine this month.
The Queen is reportedly unimpressed with the deal as it allowed Hello! unprecedented access to photograph the entire royal family in Windsor Chapel.
A royal insider said: "It will never ever happen again. In hindsight, it should never have happened in the first place."
Reported by the Telegraph, Labour MP Ian Gibson claimed that the British public would expect more dignity than to see their Queen pictured in Hello! magazine.
"She is the Queen, not a footballer's wife," he said.
Phillips married his Canadian bride Autumn Kelly earlier this month, after she converted religion so as not to jeopardise his place in line to the throne.
