Jennifer Lopez has been treated to a rather luxurious gift from her husband Marc Anthony, reports the Mirror.

According to the newspaper, as a little thank you for giving birth to twins, Anthony gave the singer a £1.3 million pair of diamond earrings.

Songwriter Anthony was spotted at a jewellers in New York ensuring the gems were just right for the new mother.

"It's no secret that J-Lo has expensive taste, so Marc was going to have to spend a serious amount to show her how he feels," an insider said.

The source also adds that each earring is engraved with the initials of their babies' names Max and Emme.

Prior to the singer's baby shower, Lopez's mother Guadalupe bought two gold identity bracelets also engraved with the unborn children's names, reported in Star magazine.

Lopez's baby shower was held on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York with all the party ideas organised by film director Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.
