Nicole Kidman has joined the latest celebrity trend of baring her baby bump while heavily pregnant.

Reported by OK magazine, the Moulin Rouge actress is to pose for famous photographer Patrick Demarchelier for the images - which she could perhaps add to her child's first baby album.

However, Kidman is allegedly waiting until she is in her eighth month before the photos are taken.

"Nicole wants to wait until she looks really pregnant," explained a source.

The 40-year-old actress has previously said of her pregnancy: "I'm so happy. I can't ask for anything more … except big boobs."

Other stars who have posed nude with their baby bumps include Demi Moore, who featured on the front cover of Vanity Fair in 1991, and Britney Spears for a 2006 issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Christina Aguilera was the most recent pregnant celebrity to bare all - gracing Marie Clarie's magazine cover last year.
