Nicole Richie's "complete turnaround"
23 May
Nicole Richie has certainly ditched her wild party ideas in favour of becoming a good mother.
At least that is the opinion of Babytalk magazine which has decided to honour the 26-year-old for her parenting skills with a Golden Pacifier Award.
Explaining the reasoning behind the choice, editor-in-chief Lisa Moran told OK! magazine that Richie has done a "complete turnaround" since her younger days when she spent a short spell in prison.
"She's grown up a lot since the arrival of little Harlow," said Ms Moran. "And her creation of the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation has demonstrated her efforts to set a good example by shining a spotlight on important issues affecting today's families."
Richie's motherhood experience has been the focus of media attention since day one - from her Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower organised by celebrity party planner Mindy Weiss to the release of Harlow's first baby album, which helped People magazine sell over 1.8 million copies.
