Gwyneth Paltrow is throwing a special children's birthday party for her daughter Apple, reports People magazine.

The actress told Live with Regis and Kelly that Apple will turn four this week and informed her mother of the party ideas she has in mind.

"She wants a piñata, which, in England, is not as easy to find as you might think," said Paltrow. "And a bouncy castle and princess fairy paint."

The 35-year-old, who is starring in current film Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr, is obviously a dab hand at preparing kids birthday parties.

Paltrow organised a Mexican party for her two-year-old son Moses last month, explaining to the magazine that he loves guacamole.

However, her husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay fame, could not be present at the celebrations as he was in London and so little Moses had to wait to open his birthday gifts with the whole family.
