Photo albums "glorious time capsules of family memories"

The photo album is sure to make a comeback in popularity as people feel the urge to reflect on their childhood, it has been claimed.

According to the Australian, the trend of relying on the digital photo to capture those special images from christenings, children's birthday parties or weddings has led to a decline in photo albums.

Families tend to take so many images of every event nowadays that printing them is often not on their agenda and they resort to storing them on a CD or online, it stated.

However, the newspaper claimed that this trend cannot last for long as humans are often overcome by a "powerful emotion" and urge to flick through their baby album, wedding albums or party scrapbooks.

"The novelty of having the capacity to take hundreds of photos will wear off within a decade and once again those glorious time capsules of family memories, the photo albums, will bloom again," the source explained.
