Not content with just one baby shower, Jessica Alba has reportedly held a second party this weekend.

Entertainment news source E! stated that the Hollywood actress held a second baby shower for her family this weekend.

"The first one was thrown by her friends, but her mom wanted to throw something more intimate for the family," an insider revealed. "She is from Pomona so this is for her family in 909."

According to the source, guests were sent invitations printed on composted paper with wildflower seeds inside and encouraged to plant their cards in the ground to "participate in the celebration of life".

They were also encouraged to bring a favourite book from their own childhood to help Alba and partner Cash Warren begin a baby library.

Alba recently confirmed that the pair had firm wedding ideas for after the birth, adding that they were both extremely happy about starting a family.
