Lucky Madonna is being treated to various surprise birthday gifts by her husband Guy Ritchie this summer, reveals the London Evening Standard.

However, the newspaper has let it slip that the music icon may be far from impressed with the activity weekend her partner has in store to celebrate her 50th.

Ritchie has allegedly arranged various country-themed party ideas, such as a day of clay-pigeon shooting.

A source said: "Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Vinne Jones will be joining the party and will have to dress in tweeds. Madonna won't object to clay-pigeon shooting, but she's not great at it and doesn't enjoy it.

"She'd rather just have a holiday."

The party is to be held at the famous pair's £9 million estate in Wiltshire and will also involved a day of horse riding, revealed the insider.

Madonna has previously stated that turning 50 is a "landmark", but that she is not worried and simply sees it as an excuse for a big party.
