A pair of identical twins from Wiltshire celebrated their shared wedding albums last week, after tying the knot in a joint wedding back in 1948, the Mirror reports.

Hettie and Iris Beazley, 83, marked their diamond wedding anniversaries together, surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, 60 years after they married their respective husbands in a joint church wedding ceremony.

Commenting on their big day all those years ago, Iris told the Mirror: "We had a beautiful day. It was lovely to share it with Hettie. We didn't honeymoon together, though. Hettie went to Brighton and we went to Torquay."

As for the sisters' secrets to a long and happy marriage, they both advise honesty, compromise and maintaining a certain level of independence.

On November 10th last year, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, with a commemorative wedding photo album marking their 60 years of marriage.
