Women 'embarrassed' about wedding photo albums
24 Sep
Research shows that far from being proud of their wedding photo albums, many women are ashamed of the way they look on camera.
A poll by Hewlett Packard discovered that two-thirds of people are "deeply embarrassed" by snaps of themselves, with females being particularly horrified.
Speaking about the figures to the Irish Independent, psychologist David Kavanagh said: "In photographic form, we are reminded of our imperfections.
"With a mirror, you can walk away and alter your appearance but you can't change a photo."
He added: "Nowhere in history have women obsessed so negatively about their appearance as in the past few decades."
Good wedding photography is an essential part of a couple's wedding plans if they want to ensure that both bride and groom look their best on the big day.
Last week, an article in the Independent newspaper suggested bride and groom need to feel comfortable with their photographer or the snaps will look unnatural.
